In my more than 25 years' experience as a successful family law attorney in Houston, I have seen the sad truth that children are all

often neglected and suffer needlessly when their parents are getting divorced, I decided a few years ago to adopt what Ann Landers, in her January 3, 1999 column, calls
The Ten Rules for Putting Children First. These ten rules can be summarized to two basic principles:
|
| (1) | we must be responsible for our own actions and decisions, and |
| (2) | we cannot put the children in the middle. |
|
It is these Rules and two basic principles that I plan to use as Judge of the 308th Family District Court.
